The Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Moldova in Dnipro announces an upcoming online meeting held within the framework of the Diaspora Meetup initiative, dedicated to key issues related to the return of citizens of the Republic of Moldova from abroad.
The event will focus on import customs duty exemptions provided under Law No. 319/2025, which regulates the procedure for granting exemptions from import duties for citizens of the Republic of Moldova who are returning to reside permanently in the country.
Law No. 319/2025: Key Provisions for Returning Citizens of the Republic of Moldova
During the online meeting, representatives of the Customs Service of the Republic of Moldova will deliver official clarifications regarding the practical implementation of Law No. 319/2025, including:
● categories of goods eligible for exemption from import customs duties;
● conditions and eligibility requirements for obtaining the exemption;
● documentation required for customs clearance upon return;
● answers to the most frequently asked questions from members of the Moldovan diaspora.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide citizens of the Republic of Moldova with accurate, up-to-date, and reliable information, as well as to support a transparent and well-structured return process, including the customs clearance of personal property.
