A high-profile charity event titled «You Are the Light» was held in Kyiv at the Premier Palace Hotel. It successfully raised over UAH 1 million to support the Special Operations Center «A» of the Security Service of Ukraine and the 429th Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment «Achilles».
Broad Institutional Support and International Cooperation
The charity evening was organized with the support of the Ukrainian Horizons Foundation, the Development Foundation, the Budivelnyk Basketball Сlub, and the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Moldova in Dnipro.
The event demonstrated effective cooperation between diplomatic institutions, civil society, the business sector, and the cultural community. They united by a shared mission – strengthening support for the Ukrainian Armed Forces and security institutions.
A substantial contribution to the preparation and successful implementation of the event was made by Sergii Stetsiuk. He is the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Moldova in Dnipro, who played an active role in organizing the charity evening and personally supported the fundraising efforts for Ukraine’s Security and Defense Forces.
Charity Auction as the Core of the Fundraising Initiative
A key element of the event was a charity auction. It featured exclusive lots of cultural, historical, religious, and sporting significance. Auction items included:
● collectible stamps and books signed by prominent figures, including Valerii Zaluzhnyi;
● commemorative coins and medals, including those issued by the National Bank of Ukraine to mark the 5th anniversary of the Tomos;
● sports memorabilia autographed by internationally renowned athletes such as Vitaliy Klitschko, Mike Tyson, Oleksandr Usyk, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Tiger Woods.
Special interest was drawn to icons and religious artifacts, including original works created using unconventional materials. Furthermore, there were paintings by well-known and emerging Ukrainian artists – Serhii Prin, Ihor Prokofiev, Makedonskyi, Petro Antyp, and Yanina. The auction also featured unique items reflecting military history and national symbolism.
Cultural Program and Distinguished Participants
The evening’s cultural program was complemented by musical performances from the band Amore Twins. Additionally, the young Ukrainian artist Sinezyy performed, who has been officially recognized by the President of Ukraine.
The event was hosted and moderated by Mykhailo Prysiazhniuk, a prominent Ukrainian volunteer, philanthropist, and television personality.
The organizers expressed particular appreciation to Bishop Oleksandr Drabynko of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. They acknowledged his continued support, spiritual leadership, and constructive partnership.
Unity in Support of Ukraine
The charity evening «You Are the Light», held in the capital of Ukraine, brought together representatives of the diplomatic corps, public authorities, business leaders, civil society organizations, and various Christian denominations.
The event once again confirmed that collective action and international solidarity play a crucial role. These efforts support Ukraine’s defense efforts and strengthen global unity in the face of contemporary challenges.
