On August 28, 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova officially launched the eConsulat platform. It is a state-of-the-art digital service. This platform is designed to provide Moldovan citizens living abroad with fast, secure, and convenient access to consular services.

Available Services via eConsulat
The platform provides both fully digitalized services and services requiring in-person visits:
Fully digitalized (with electronic signature):
● Travel documents;
● Certificates of criminal record;
● Requests for official documents issued in Moldova.
Partially digitalized (requiring consulate visit):
● Super-legalization of documents;
● Powers of attorney;
● Notarial acts;
● Signature legalization.
Citizens without an electronic signature can register on the platform and schedule appointments at the consulate in advance.

The eConsulat platform was developed in collaboration with the E-Governance Agency and with the support of the World Bank Group. It is fully integrated with Moldova’s national digital infrastructure.
