On March 27, 2025, Vice Prime Minister for Reintegration of the Republic of Moldova, Oleg Serebrian, received a courtesy visit from His Excellency Paun Rohovei. He is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Moldova.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current status of the negotiation process regarding the Transnistrian settlement. They also talked about the official position of the Moldovan government on potential solutions to the existing challenges. Additionally, they reviewed the measures being taken by national authorities to achieve a comprehensive and peaceful resolution of the conflict.
Ambassador Rohovei reaffirmed Ukraine’s steadfast support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Moldova. He emphasized the importance of a peaceful resolution of the conflict that preserves Moldova’s European future.
Particular attention was given to the strengthening of Moldovan-Ukrainian bilateral dialogue. They focused on economic cooperation and noted the positive dynamics in their collaboration. Furthermore, they discussed future steps to expand cooperation under the framework of the Moldovan-Ukrainian Joint Intergovernmental Commission for economic and trade relations.
